Great Masters of Rap: Aesop Rock

I wanted to create a tribute to one of my all time favorite musicians, Aesop Rock. The initial idea was to do sort of a historical military style portrait, I wanted to combine that with a really stylized sculpting look and it all just sort of grew from there. This kind of composition style is something I've used extensively in my 2D illustration work but this was the first time really pushing it all into 3D. I generated all of the assets here from scratch. Overall it was a super fun project and I would love to do more of these with other great hip hop acts (RTJ anyone?)
